How to pitch this beat
- Health reporters need a clinical or regulatory hook: trial results, FDA status, peer-reviewed data.
- Never claim a health benefit you cannot support with a cited source.
- Patient or provider impact numbers matter more than funding amounts in this beat.
- Include your spokesperson's credentials (MD, PhD, clinical role) in the pitch itself.
- Expect longer lead times: health desks often fact-check before running a story.

Frequently asked questions
How many health journalists in the US does PressPilot cover?
Our database grows every month. When the count for this sector and country is large enough to be meaningful, it is shown above, read live from our database. Otherwise we say so plainly rather than show a small number.
Can I target biotech specifically, not general health?
Yes, once you create a free account, the journalist selector filters by topic within health, including biotech and medtech.
Is creating an account and picking journalists free?
Yes. Account creation, your first AI-written release, picking journalists and a test send are free. You only pay when you send, from 29 EUR a month excluding VAT for 100 credits.
Do you publish journalist contact details on this page?
No. Only aggregate counts by sector and country appear here, and only above a minimum size. Contact details are only visible inside a PressPilot account.
