Byline

Last updated

The line in a published article that identifies the author.

A byline is the line in a published article that identifies the author. In PR, a bylined article is a piece written by a company executive or spokesperson and published under their name in a media outlet.

Bylined articles are a form of earned media that positions the author as a thought leader. They are typically placed through relationships with editors rather than press release distribution, and require a strong angle relevant to the outlet audience.
