Syndication

Last updated

The process of distributing a press release to multiple media outlets and databases simultaneously.

Syndication is the process of distributing content to multiple media outlets or databases simultaneously. In PR, it typically refers to a press release being published on hundreds or thousands of news sites, portals and databases through a newswire service.

Syndicated press releases appear on many websites, which increases raw online visibility. However, in 2026, Google treats most syndicated release pages as low-value content, so syndication alone rarely drives organic ranking improvements. Its value is reach and aggregator signals, not SEO.
