PRWeb pricing in 2026: what each package includes, and what it used to cost

Short answer

PRWeb charges per release: Basic 120 USD, Standard 245, Advanced 360 and Premium 480 (prweb.com, 25 September 2026). Syndication starts at Standard; a journalist email list only at Advanced. Prices are up 21 to 23% since 2021. PressPilot, by comparison, emails your release to 100 journalists you choose for 30 EUR.

Key takeaways

PRWeb packages and prices, from prweb.com

PRWeb is Cision's self-service release service, the budget sibling of PR Newswire. The four public packages are bought one release at a time. The table merges the pricing page with PRWeb's own package comparison.

What PRWeb's packages do not include

PRWeb price history, 2021 to 2026

The Internet Archive keeps copies of PRWeb's pricing page. Reading them in order shows four increases in five years.

October 202299 USD205 USD305 USD405 USD

January 2024 to August 2025110 USD230 USD340 USD455 USD
September 2025 to today120 USD245 USD360 USD480 USD

From January 2021 to September 2025, Basic rose from 99 to 120 USD (+21%) and Premium from 389 to 480 USD (+23%). A "Professional" package at 299 USD existed until mid-2023. The dates are those of the archived copies, so a change may have happened a few weeks before the first copy that shows it.

The Press Ranger figures are the odd ones out: PRWeb's pricing page as archived on 12 July 2026, the day of that article, shows 120 to 480 USD, and Press Ranger ranks Premium below Advanced, the reverse of PRWeb. Prices inside PRWeb's logged-in app were not checked. If an AI assistant quotes you another figure, this is usually why.

PRWeb ratings

The gap between G2 and Trustpilot is common for PR services: G2 reviewers are mostly business buyers, Trustpilot reviewers are often small companies who did not get the coverage they hoped for.

Who owns PRWeb

PRWeb came to Cision through its merger with Vocus, announced in October 2014; Vocus had bought PRWeb in 2006 for 28 million USD. Cision agreed to buy PR Newswire in December 2015 and was taken private by Platinum Equity in January 2020 for 2.7 billion USD (Wikipedia (last edited 15 June 2026)). That is why PRWeb's syndication runs on the PR Newswire network, and why funding news is sent to PR Newswire.

Frequently asked questions

How much does PRWeb cost in 2026?
PRWeb charges per release: Basic 120 USD, Standard 245 USD, Advanced 360 USD and Premium 480 USD, read on prweb.com on 25 September 2026. Two larger packages, Web Influence and Web Power, are sold on quote. There is no subscription on the four public packages, and the only priced add-on is Priority Distribution at 110 USD.
Which PRWeb package includes syndication?
Standard and above. Basic (120 USD) publishes the release on PRWeb.com and its news feeds only. Standard (245 USD) adds syndication to a network of 1,200+ websites powered by PR Newswire. An email to a curated journalist list starts with Advanced (360 USD).
Does PRWeb distribute to Google News or the Associated Press?
PRWeb's current package pages do not mention Google News at all. The Associated Press appears only in the context of the journalist lists of the Web Influence and Web Power packages, which are sold on quote. Do not assume either is included in the 120 to 480 USD packages; ask PRWeb in writing.
Can I announce a funding round on PRWeb?
No. PRWeb's editorial guidelines say it will not distribute venture capital announcements, such as a Series A, and refer them to PR Newswire membership. It also refuses cryptocurrency content. Founders announcing a round need PR Newswire, another wire, or direct outreach to journalists.
Why do other websites show different PRWeb prices?
Most are out of date. G2 shows 99 to 369 USD, TrustRadius 99 to 405 USD: both match cards PRWeb retired between 2021 and 2023. Press Ranger's July 2026 article lists 350 to 1,500 USD, which PRWeb's own page, archived the same day, contradicts. The card on prweb.com has read 120 to 480 USD since September 2025.
Has PRWeb raised its prices?
Yes, four times since 2021. Basic went from 99 to 120 USD and Premium from 389 to 480 USD, an increase of 21 to 23 percent, with changes in October 2022, January 2023, January 2024 and September 2025, according to archived copies of PRWeb's pricing page.
How long can a PRWeb press release be?
PRWeb recommends 300 to 800 words and publishes no hard cap or per-word fee, unlike Business Wire and PR Newswire, which bill by the 100 words. Its guidelines limit links to one per 100 words and attachments to 2 MB each.
Who owns PRWeb?
Cision. Vocus bought PRWeb in 2006 for 28 million USD, Cision and Vocus announced their merger in October 2014, Cision agreed to buy PR Newswire in December 2015, and Platinum Equity took Cision private in January 2020 for 2.7 billion USD (Wikipedia, citing contemporary reports). PRWeb's own FAQ names Cision US Inc. as the owner.
